Parsons has advised AMNI International Petroleum Development Company Limited and TotalEnergies EP
Nigeria Limited on a financing above US$1 billion for the development of the IMA non-associated gas
field, offshore Nigeria. AMNI holds a 60% interest in the field and TEPNG the remaining 40%, acting as
technical adviser. The layered, multi tranche financing is underpinned by a receivables sale structure
based on the Sponsors' 15-year gas sales agreement with Nigeria LNG Limited, and is supported by a
bespoke, gas-focused security package carefully ring-fenced from AMNI's crude oil assets.
At plateau, the IMA field is designed to produce approximately 350 million standard cubic feet of gas per
day, supplying around 30% of the feedgas required for NLNG Train 7, with first gas targeted for the
second half of 2028. Parsons acted as international legal counsel to the Sponsors, led by Dr. Gabriel
Onagoruwa and Greg Kahn, on a transaction the firm calls a landmark financing for a strategically
important African gas development, one that will strengthen Nigeria's position in the global LNG market.
